The incident occurred around 10:14 p.m. in the 3500 block of 10th Street NW, prompting a swift response from Fourth District officers.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a teenage male suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived shortly thereafter and transported the victim to a local hospital. Unfortunately, despite all life-saving measures, the 17-year-old victim, identified as Tavon Livingston of Northeast D.C., was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
