MPD Seeking Persons of Interest in Retail Thefts in the District

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is seeking assistance from the community in identifying individuals involved in a series of retail thefts that occurred in Northwest Washington, D.C. According to the department, two separate incidents on September 28, 2026, involved a group of females who allegedly took items from stores without paying.

The first incident took place around 3:41 p.m. in the 1000 block of F Street, where three females reportedly entered a store, stole multiple items, and fled in a vehicle. The incident was captured on surveillance cameras, and images of the individuals have been released by the MPD as part of their appeal for information.

Shortly after, at approximately 4:26 p.m., the same three females, along with an additional female, entered another store in the 1000 block of Connecticut Avenue. This group allegedly stole items valued at over $4,700 before leaving without paying. Again, surveillance footage was obtained, and images of the persons of interest have been shared by the police.

The MPD is urging anyone who may recognize these individuals or who has any information regarding the incidents to contact them at (202) 727-9099 or send a text to the department’s tip line at 50411. The department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for the thefts.
