The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection to a robbery that took place in Northwest Washington, DC. The incident occurred on the morning of May 19, 2025, in the 1700 block of 7th Street NW.
At approximately 3:15 a.m., the victim was engaged in a conversation with the suspect when they were suddenly attacked. During the assault, a second suspect joined in, and together they forcibly took property from the victim before fleeing the scene. The violent nature of the crime has raised concerns within the local community about public safety in the area.
On July 7, 2026, authorities arrested 21-year-old Madison Bartlett, who is currently without a fixed address. Bartlett has been charged with Robbery (Force and Violence) following a warrant issued by the DC Superior Court. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The department is also offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of individuals responsible for violent crimes in the District of Columbia.
