The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has announced the arrest of a second suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in Southeast Washington, D.C. The incident took place on March 20, 2025, in the 2400 block of Elvans Road, where officers found 25-year-old Tre’von Norman from Waldorf, MD, unconscious and suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a significant development, on November 18, 2025, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended 27-year-old Corey Noble from Southeast D.C. Noble faces serious charges, including First Degree Murder while Armed and Felony Murder, as part of the ongoing investigation into Norman’s death.

Additionally, on July 7, 2026, 26-year-old Zion Humphrey from Capitol Heights, MD, was extradited to D.C. after being in custody in Prince George’s County. Like Noble, Humphrey has also been charged with First Degree Murder while Armed and Felony Murder in relation to the case.

The MPD continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident, and the community is urged to come forward with any information that may assist in the ongoing efforts to ensure public safety in the area.
