The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is actively investigating a homicide that occurred early Wednesday morning in Northwest Washington, DC. The incident took place around 1:24 a.m. in the 800 block of 6th Street NW, prompting a swift response from First District officers.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found two adult male victims, one of whom was suffering from non-life-threatening injuries, while the other was in critical condition due to apparent gunshot wounds. Both victims were quickly transported to a local hospital by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services. Shortly thereafter, a third adult male victim also arrived at an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries related to the shooting.
Despite the medical team’s efforts, the critically injured victim, identified as 32-year-old Marquis Turner from District Heights, Maryland, later succumbed to his injuries. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the homicide.
