The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with an armed burglary that took place in Southeast Washington, D.C. The incident occurred on Monday, April 6, 2026, in the 2800 block of Terrace Road, where three armed individuals forced their way into an apartment and assaulted one of the victims.

According to MPD, the suspects knocked on the apartment door around 9:15 p.m. When one of the victims answered, the armed intruders entered the residence, with one suspect reportedly assaulting a victim with a firearm. The suspects managed to flee the scene before police arrived. The victim who was assaulted received prompt medical attention from DC Fire and EMS and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following a thorough investigation, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) executed a search warrant on Monday, July 6, 2026, leading to the apprehension of one suspect. Authorities arrested 26-year-old Larquette Brown of Southeast D.C., charging him with Burglary I while Armed. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and police are actively pursuing leads.
