ANC 8B Safety & Mobility Study: Second Community Meeting

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT), in collaboration with Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) 8B, is set to host a community meeting on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 6:30 PM. This meeting, held at the Roundtree Residences located at 2515 Alabama Avenue SE, will be the last opportunity for residents to engage in discussions regarding the ANC 8B Neighborhood Safety and Mobility Study.

The Neighborhood Safety and Mobility Study program marks a shift from the previous Livability Program, which proposed extensive corridor reconfigurations that could take years to implement. Instead, this new approach emphasizes swift solutions using tactical materials such as pavement markings and limited concrete work to address immediate safety concerns.

Residents unable to attend the meeting can access materials on the study’s website within 72 hours post-meeting. For more information about the project, residents are encouraged to visit the dedicated page for the ANC 8B study at the DDOT website.
