Keishawn Johnson, 23, has been sentenced to 204 months in prison for his involvement in the kidnapping of two girls and the sexual exploitation of a minor. The sentencing took place in U.S. District Court, as announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.
Johnson pleaded guilty to charges of kidnapping while armed and sexual exploitation of a child earlier this year. Along with the lengthy prison sentence, he has also been ordered to serve 10 years of supervised release following his prison term.
The case dates back to September 2024, when Johnson lured a 15-year-old girl into his vehicle by falsely claiming that her 14-year-old friend was inside. Once inside the car, he held the teenager against her will, demanding that she assist him in finding a missing firearm. When the girl’s mother attempted to rescue her at a gas station, Johnson drove off with the teenager still in the vehicle. He later used the teen’s phone to summon her friend, who was subsequently abducted at gunpoint by Johnson and an accomplice.
During the abduction, Johnson held the younger girl captive overnight, moving her to various locations in the region while subjecting her to assault. Law enforcement eventually located Johnson the next day, leading to a vehicle chase that ended in a crash. The police were able to rescue the 14-year-old girl at that time. Investigators also discovered video evidence on Johnson’s phone showing him abusing the victim weeks prior to the incident.
At the time of these offenses, Johnson was on probation for previous charges, including theft and burglary. His accomplice, Antoine Jones, has also pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 114 months in prison. The investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force and the Violent Crimes Task Force, with prosecution led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Caroline Burrell.
