Residents of Washington, DC are invited to participate in two important meetings hosted by the DC Council on Tuesday, July 14. The first session, a Committee of the Whole meeting, is set to commence at 11 AM, followed immediately by a Legislative Meeting. This is an opportunity for the public to engage with local governance and stay informed about legislative developments that may impact their neighborhoods.

Both meetings will be accessible through various platforms to accommodate the public’s viewing preferences. Those wishing to attend virtually can register for a Zoom Webinar in advance, which will provide both audio and video options. After registration, participants will receive a confirmation email with joining details. It is important to note that for security reasons, the meeting will be locked shortly after it begins, so early attendance is encouraged.

In addition to the Zoom option, residents can watch the meetings live on the DCC Network (Channels 13 or 18) or through the Office of Cable Television, Film, Music, and Entertainment’s website. For those who prefer social media, the meetings will also be streamed live on the DC Council’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. Closed captioning will be available for all broadcasts, ensuring accessibility for all residents.

For individuals who wish to attend in person, the meetings will take place at the John A. Wilson Building, Room 500. Video recordings of both meetings will also be made available on the Council’s website within 24 hours after their conclusion, allowing those who cannot attend to catch up on the discussions and decisions made.

These meetings represent a vital platform for civic engagement, providing DC residents from all wards and neighborhoods an avenue to participate in the legislative process and voice their concerns. Whether attending virtually or in person, community involvement is essential in shaping the future of Washington, DC.
