The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is actively seeking assistance from the community in identifying a suspect involved in a burglary that occurred in Northeast Washington, D.C. The incident took place early in the morning on August 24, 2026, in the 600 block of Rhode Island Avenue NW.
According to MPD reports, Fifth District officers responded to a burglary call at approximately 4:45 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered that the suspect had entered the establishment and stolen money from the cash register before fleeing the scene.
