The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects involved in an armed robbery that took place on September 23, 2026. According to the department, the incident occurred around 1:34 p.m. in the unit block of L Street, Northwest.
Officers from the First District responded to reports of the robbery, which involved three suspects who approached the victim on two electric scooters. One suspect allegedly brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s belongings while restraining him. After the victim complied, the suspects fled the scene on their scooters.
Surveillance cameras in the area captured images of the suspects, which have been made available for public viewing. The MPD is urging anyone who recognizes the individuals or has further information about the robbery to reach out.

The department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for the crime.
