Members of the public have the opportunity to participate in two important meetings hosted by the Council of the District of Columbia on Tuesday, October 20. The first meeting, a Committee of the Whole, is set to begin at 11 AM, followed by a Legislative Meeting. Residents interested in the agendas for both meetings can find details on the Council’s official website.
For those wishing to attend virtually, the Council encourages registration for the Zoom Webinar, which will allow both audio and video access. After registering, attendees will receive a confirmation email with joining instructions. It is important to note that access to the meeting will be restricted after a quorum is established, so early participation is advised. Alternative viewing options include a live broadcast on the DCC Network (Channel 13 or 18) and streaming on the Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment’s website.
Additionally, residents can view the meetings live via the Council’s Facebook page or YouTube channel. For anyone unable to attend in real time, a recorded version of the meetings will be available on the Council’s website within 24 hours of their conclusion. For those who prefer to attend in person, the meetings will also be held at the John A. Wilson Building, Room 500.
Live interpretation services will be available during the meetings, and closed captioning will be provided for the broadcasts, ensuring accessibility for all participants.
