The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has announced the arrest of an 18-year-old suspect linked to a recent carjacking and an assault in the District of Columbia. Jehvae Armani Boone, a resident of Arlington, Virginia, was apprehended on September 15, 2026, following an investigation that led to a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant.

The incidents began on June 24, 2026, when officers responded to a report of an armed carjacking on the 600 block of Parkside Place, Northeast. According to MPD, a group of suspects approached a victim’s vehicle, brandished firearms, and demanded the victim exit the vehicle. They fled the scene in the victim’s car before law enforcement arrived. The case is documented under CCN: 26087480.

Further complicating the investigation, on July 13, 2026, another report came in regarding an assault on the 300 block of Anacostia Road, Southeast. In this incident, the suspect allegedly struck the victim with a firearm before escaping the scene. This assault is recorded under CCN: 26097355.
